What happens when you combine the #iPad and Velcro

If you are not excited yet about getting an iPad, this may do it! … my favorite is the one on the ceiling, almost like a dream come true :-)

Amplifyd from www.techi.com

If you were stranded on an island and could either have an iPad or Velcro, what would you choose? I mean, on one hand, the iPad is a multi-purpose piece of technology that users are going crazy over. Velcro is, well, an ingenious invention but not that exciting.

Velcro doesn’t seem to get the credit it deserves. The iPad will get updated over the years, but velcro hasn’t changed since day one. A design so innovative, it needs no improvement. So what if someone decided to put both these technologies together. Yes, you might want to sit down for this.

Volcanic ash from Iceland strands Norway’s prime minister in NYC airport, so he governs via #iPad

That’s what I’m talking about!

Amplifyd from www.nydailynews.com
Norway prime minister Jens Stoltenberg, stranded in New York after volcanic ash closed airspace overseas, governs the country via iPad.

All he needs is an iPad and and outlet to run Norway.

Jens Stoltenberg, the country’s prime minister, was stranded Friday with thousands of other fliers at Kennedy Airport by a huge black cloud of volcanic ash that turned the skies over a large swath of Europe into a no-fly zone.

But that didn’t prevent Stoltenberg from conducting the daily business of Norwegian government on Apple’s newest gizmo in an airport lounge.

Amazing, Extraordinary, Tremendous: The 3-Minute iPad Keynote [VIDEO]

Some may argue at the adjectives because some of the flaws that some find important on the iPad. … but.

This one is a condensed video that gets you ready to take out your credit card!

Amplifyd from mashable.com
Steve Jobs’s stage presence and speech delivery are second to none. So what’s his secret? Adjectives!

The 180 second bite-sized version of the iPad announcement serves as a hilarious look at the abundant use of adjectives and superlatives during Jobs’s presentation. Don’t be surprised if you hear a lot of the following: Extraordinary. Phenomenal. Far better. Simple. Wonderful. Great. Gorgeous. Awesome. Super. Huge. Tremendous. Amazing. Terrific. Exciting. Beautiful.

Why My Mom’s Next Computer Is Going To Be An iPad

I find interesting how even the day Steve Jobs announced it, lots of blogs and tweets started trending on the internet about the flaws it had. This shows me how we live in a culture of “focus on the negative”, I guess that is what you get when TV news follow this pattern and therefore its audience.

So, I still think the iPad *IS* a great product and I agree with TechChrunch: “the iPad is going to redefine computing”

Amplifyd from www.techcrunch.com
Even the guys at Penny Arcade, whom I normally agree with, said “that iPad presentation had to be the worst thing I’ve even seen on on the Apple stage”

Well, the unwashed masses on the Internet also predicted that the iPod would be a failure. They were wrong then, and they are wrong now.

My mom.

The iPad is perfect for her. It does exactly what she needs. It will let her watch movies and listen to music and read books on long flights. It will make using a computer fun instead of an annoying chore.

No, the iPad isn’t for everyone. But I’m going to go on record as saying that, for non-computer-geeks everywhere, the iPad is going to redefine computing.
